I’ve been struggling to think of what I should be focusing for 3rd year so I took a few notes of things I like- such as birds, beaches, landscapes, glow, travelling- and I tried to combine all of them into one place. I made a moodboard and thanks to them I tried to come up with a few story ideas. I’m still not quite sure if I should be directing a short film for my final year as I feel this is my weak spot. However, I would like to challenge myself and try to bring my ideas into production.

I made a few story drafts and I ended up liking this one the most:

Draft: The girl loves to see high views- such as plane view. Perhaps at the start we see her scrolling through her photos with beautiful high views from the plane –this gives us a reason why she wants to be a pilot. She falls asleep in her bedroom and she is dreaming of a magical bird that comes/merges with her – she grows feathers. She goes out to the balcony and flies with the bird around the city and watches beautiful landscapes of her hometown. Then she wakes up by her alarm clock (maybe it has the shape of the magical bird). As the sun rises, the girl is determined to study and become a pilot. We see her going through her studies by studying and getting the degree and in the end she managed to become a real pilot. At the end, we see her flying the airplane and next to her we see the magical bird flying next to her out of the window.
